We would frequently stay in this hotel being part of the airline crew. I would usually request to have my room cleaned before I go out of the hotel to go to the mall and buy food. Today, I called guest service at 1245NN to request for cleaning, was immediately transferred to Housekeeping and request was placed. Got back at 0430PM, room was still not cleaned. Called guest service around that time, and the staff even reasoned out that other airline guests just checked out and they would have to clean those rooms first. I told her it’s been more than 4 hours already but she didn’t seem to see the need to entertain the request and just wanted me to talk to Housekeeping instead. I went down before I went out yet again to buy dinner. I even personally dropped by front desk to remind the lady stationed 2nd from the left desk to ensure that the room was cleaned. Arrived back in the hotel at 0700PM, only to see that the room was never cleaned. This experience is utterly frustrating, especially when all you really wanted to do was rest after a long day. The same incident happened to me during my previous stay and I’m willing to bet that this will continue to happen in my next visits. As an airline crew, we get to stay in various hotels, hotels in Australia, Qatar and Saudi Arabia has much better service. Truly unbecoming of the Sheraton brand.

It was great stay. Although there were sites under constructions surrounded by hotel, it was very quite and pleasant inside. Room was clean and spacious, very friendly and warm services. I love convenient hotel shuttle bus from airport and back as well. The only disappointment was that hot jacuzzi didn’t turn on in the morning even though sign says it opens at 6am. However I will definitely go back to Sheraton gateway soon.

I’ve stayed at the Sheraton Gateway Los Angeles Hotel several times, and it’s always one of my top choices when I’m flying through LAX. The location couldn’t be more convenient—it’s just minutes from the airport, and the complimentary 24-hour shuttle service makes getting to and from the terminals quick and stress-free, no matter what time your flight is. The staff is consistently friendly, welcoming, and professional. Check-in is smooth, and everyone I’ve interacted with has gone out of their way to be helpful. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and well maintained, making it a great place to relax after a long day of travel or before an early morning flight. Whether you’re traveling for business or leisure, I highly recommend the Sheraton Gateway. The combination of excellent service, comfortable accommodations, and unbeatable airport convenience keeps me coming back.

Real soundproofing! It is worth mentioning because not all hotels at LAX have it. This hotel is also concrete construction, greatly mitigating noise concerns. A centralized ventilation system means there is no noisy air conditioner in the room with you and the range of temperatures and performance ensures you can be comfortable. This is a full-service hotel and it feels it - proper elevators, bellhop, updated carpeting, good-sized rooms which are well-appointed. The lines were nice and soft and the tub nice and deep. The staff are wonderful and you will get lots of 'hello's and smiles. The pool is nice and big and while a bit chilly in the shade, becomes very hot in the sun. There are a couple of free water bottles in each room and each room comes with a good-sized fridge that is free of annoying mini-bar products that cause headache and wasted time in billing disputes upon check-out. Pillows and mattress were less than desired which was a bit surprising, and I felt my back slightly sore after spending over a week here. Overall, the rooms look and feel luxurious and well-maintained.||Some surprises to be aware of in advance, that you can work around with the help of staff: one room had mould visible on the shower ceiling and smelled accordingly; another had smoke damage you could smell and cigarette burns on the armoire; construction in late May 2026 was happening directly to the west of the building (the pool side) but seemed only to be happening during regular working hours of 8-to-5-ish. A polite request to staff will take care of these issues if they affect you. Parking is outrageously expensive onsite but staff will direct you to a self-pay lot across the street that is much cheaper.||This is an excellent, full-service hotel. I was seeking medical care on this trip and everything ran smoothly after I got my room settled which was very helpful due to my health issues. Special thanks to Juan the front desk supervisor for patiently helping me with changing rooms and Ramon for excellent, speedy service. All the front desk staff are great but these two stood out.

Had a weekday meeting in a business suite. The location of the hotel is perfect with ample parking available. The atmosphere was quiet and allowed the team to concentrate and gel thoughts together. A buffet style lunch was served and was was very good; high marks for the dessert. The brownie was delicious. I also want to say Thank You to Estela Estrada, for taking care of the team and really stepping up when things got busy. Estela offered impeccable service during a very busy day.

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. One of the highlights was the restaurant, which offers good-quality food in a calm and relaxing atmosphere. The meals were delicious, although both the food and drinks are quite expensive. The prices for drinks seem more reasonable during rush hour promotions, but outside those times they can be costly. The hotel provides a complimentary breakfast buffet every morning, which is a great benefit and offers a good variety of options to start the day. Another convenient feature is the free shuttle service to and from the airport, making transportation easy and stress-free. Overall, the hotel is comfortable and well-maintained, with excellent amenities and a peaceful ambiance. While dining costs can be high, the quality of the food and the convenience of the services make it a worthwhile stay.

Avoid if you don't like cigarette smoke. Our hotel room was full of cigarette smoke on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday we stayed there. Smoke was consistently coming in through the vents from an adjoining room or area. The windows don't open and the bathrooms don't have fans, so it was impossible to get any ventilation or fresh air. When the smoke became so thick it was hard to breathe, I had to leave the room's door open (into the hallway). I advised the front desk on Saturday; they said they would investigate and asked me to let them know if it continued. (At that time, they said they couldn't/wouldn't move us.) The smoke only increased through Sunday, when I reported it again. At that time, they said it was a "persistent problem" with the hotel and offered to move us, but we were checking out in a few hours anyway. My partner and I had ongoing sinus irritation and were still coughing several days later. I emailed corporate (the Marriott) and received an AI-generated response from a person asking me to call her to discuss; the telephone number she provided was the automated switch-board number for this location - the hotel with the problem that didn't help in the first place. Again, would avoid.

The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because I really respect some of the valet and lobby staff. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone or ever stay here again. I am from Los Angeles and moved but I should have known better about booking a hotel by the airport. My girlfriend was followed by a man and he tried to get in our room when I went down to pick up some food. I reported it to security and he acted like he didn’t even care. Security told me to just come tell them if I see him again. He didn’t even ask for a description. This hotel seems extremely unsafe. The elevators allow anyone to access guest floors without a key and I’m sure this guy was just riding elevators until he found a woman to harass and follow. Also it is currently 11:50p on a Sunday as I write this and there are cleaning people all on my floor making a ton of noise. What kind of hotel is this?
